Dawson Collection

In the late 1800s the “Cattle King of Texas”, C.C. Slaughter, owned vast amounts of land across Texas including the Lazy S ranch in Dawson County. At one time Slaughter owned the most land and cattle in the state, and was the largest individual tax payer for many years. In 1877 he helped establish the Northwest Texas Cattle Raisers Association in order to combat cattle theft in the region. The organization still exists today and is know as the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association, or TSCRA. We have an ongoing relationship with the TSCRA and the Dawson collection was created with Texas cattle ranchers in mind. The Dawson is one of our larger ¾” buckle sets, making it ideal for the man who prefers a highly detailed buckle in a manageable size.
