With Mother's Day right around the corner, we wanted to highlight some incredible mothers who are not only amazing moms but creators, influencers, and entrepreneurs that we are lucky enough to call friends.
Meet Vicki Orr of Vicki Orr Designs
Our friendship with Vicki Orr goes back several years. Vicki Orr is founder and designer behind Vicki Orr Designs. "Vicki Orr designs is a labor of love," states Vicki. "I love collecting Native American jewelry, ancient coins and artifacts, and gemstones." All of her pieces are truly one-of-a-kind.
As like-minded creators, we tend to gravitate toward one another because we recognize and appreciate quality handmade products. It is important we support each other's trade and skill to continue our legacy.
Vicki is just as much a Clint Orms fans as we are of her. "Although I have several Clint Orms buckles, my current favorite is the Taylor 1528 because it is a classic, timeless piece and simply beautiful," says Vicki. "It transcends the Western Scene..." You can find Vicki wearing her Taylor buckle from her home in SW Florida to Santa Fe, whether she is dressed up or going casual.

Family is an important part of the culture of Clint Orms Engravers & Silversmiths, Vicki Orr also embraces the same culture in her business. Sometimes as a mother and a business owner, spending time with family requires a little balancing act. We had the chance to catch up with Vicki and ask her how she manages both and what her favorite memories are about being a mom and business owner.
"Like most moms, we work hard so our children can have good futures," says Vicki. Holidays and vacations were my favorite when the kids were growing up because I got to spend fun, quality time with them while they were young."
Now Vicki gets to share even more time with her daughter, Timothy who is a gemologist, as they work together at Vicki Orr Designs. Vicki especially loves being able to spend time together on their trips to shows at the Dallas Market Center.
