"The Western Buckle"

  • 2 min read

Following is Clint's contribution to "The Western Buckle" by David R. Stoecklein.

One of the things I get most excited about in life is the heritage of the “American cowboy” and the wonderful place on this earth where his legend began, I was fortunate enough to be born in the United States and to grow up in Texas. I left Texas at the young age of eighteen but returned several years later. Throughout my years of traveling, I have realized that the love and admiration of the American cowboy exists not only in Texas, but also worldwide.

Before leaving my hometown of Wichita Falls, I was surrounded by some of the best cowboys I have ever met, their lifestyle and integrity are a true inspiration. My desires as a western silversmith and engraver are to inspire my co-workers, to do my best each day, and to make sure that a feeling and and a product can be shared across the world for many generations past, present, and future.

I can only hope that the efforts and feelings we put into each buckle we make will be appreciated in the days to come. By using the best products available to us, I know the pieces will last and become better with age. There is a special feeling and so d that you can only experience from handmade items. It is very common to draw a special design taking several hours for a single project. The design may only be used for one piece, or only a few times. we never reproduce more than ten pieces from a single design this keeps exclusivity and creativity at its peak. all of our products are made from solid gold and sterling silver with precious and semi-precious stones.

when people purchase Clint Orms buckles, I want them to know they are getting a part of Texas, a part of the cowboy tradition, a hard day's work. our main objective is to keep our western heritage alive. I am especially proud to be able to say that all of our products are made in the United States of America—a country I am so proud to support and call my home. I have been very blessed by all the wonderful people in my life who have instilled in me the importance or quality, hustle, and patience.
