Webb 1821 Scalloped Steer Head Filigreed Trophy Buckle

The centerpiece showcases a beautifully crafted sterling steer head, complemented by two sterling horseshoe figures positioned in the bottom corners. Every shape at Clint Orms carries a story, and few run as deep as the Webb.

The Webb shape traces back more than 70 years, worn first by a close friend of Clint Orms' father — and passed down through that friend's three sons, one of whom still wears it to this day. It's a design that has quietly lived on belts across generations, long before it ever reached the Orms shop.

In 1977, the Webb became the very first buckle shape Clint Orms made in his own shop — filled with hand-set turquoise stones and carrying the same lines that had marked the shape for decades. Orms wore that original turquoise Webb buckle to the Cow Palace in Long Beach, where a turquoise vendor took notice and offered him $350 for it on the spot. At the time, that was rent money; so, regrettably, Orms sold the very buckle that started it all.

Today, the Webb shape remains a foundational design in the Clint Orms collection — a quiet piece of Western history, and the shape that started everything.
